Town of the apennine Mountains located on the border between Tuscany and Liguria. The surrounding area is rich of chestnuts.In autumn, among these trees, the precious porcini mushrooms are growing. This wild product have obtained the GPI recognition (Protected Geographical Indication) from the European Union. Based on this special raw material in September 1996 it was inaugurated the "National Fair of the Porcini Mushroom of Albareto" which every year attracts the interest of a lot of people.
