It is located in the center of the province of Parma, where the Ceno Valley begins. To the left of the river Ceno there’s the well preserved Castle of Varano, which dates back to '400 with a big angular tower. In the village of Serravalle there the oldest Christian monument of the Parma area: an hexagonal baptistery dating back to the tenth century. In Vianino you can admire a beautiful tower with architectural military features. To report the ancient village of Viazzano, characterized by a court with arcades and towers built between the sixteenth and the seventeenth century. In Varano there are also an Autodrome and the Dallara Automobili a construction racing cars factory.
