Palazzo delle Orsoline – Fidenza

The Palazzo delle Orsoline is one of Fidenza’s most important cultural buildings. Originally connected with the Ursuline religious community, the historic complex has been transformed into a lively centre dedicated to culture, history, art and education.

Today, Palazzo delle Orsoline houses the Michele Leoni Civic Library, the Luigi Musini Museum of the Risorgimento, the Oreste Emanuelli Art Gallery and the Stirone Fossil Museum, bringing several of Fidenza’s cultural attractions together in one place.

The building also preserves historic book collections and includes study areas, exhibition and meeting spaces. Its former convent chapel is now used as an Auditorium for conferences, exhibitions and cultural events.

At the heart of the complex is the large Corte delle Feste, an internal courtyard used for open-air cinema, concerts, meetings and public events. This space makes Palazzo delle Orsoline not only a place for preserving Fidenza’s heritage, but also an active part of the city’s contemporary cultural life.

For visitors exploring Fidenza, the palace is an interesting stop where art, local history, museums and culture can be discovered within the same historic complex.
