Antica Corte Pallavicina – History, Tradition and Gastronomy in Polesine Parmense

Located in Polesine Parmense, along the banks of the Po River, Antica Corte Pallavicina is one of the most fascinating historic residences in the Bassa Parmense, combining centuries of history with the region's famous culinary traditions.

Originally associated with the noble Pallavicino family, the complex developed around an ancient fortified residence known as the Palazzo delle Due Torri. Today, carefully restored by the Spigaroli family, it welcomes visitors to discover the cultural and gastronomic heritage of the Parma countryside.

What to See and Experience

The historic building is home to the Museum of Culatello and Masalén, dedicated to the history and traditional production of Culatello di Zibello, one of Italy's most celebrated cured meats.

The ancient cellars, where culatello matures naturally, are among the most distinctive features of the estate.

Antica Corte Pallavicina also offers a renowned restaurant led by Massimo Spigaroli, a traditional hosteria and elegant accommodation overlooking the peaceful landscape of the Po River.

A visit combines history, traditional food, local culture and the natural beauty of the Bassa Parmense.
