Located between Sala Baganza and Collecchio, just a few kilometres from Parma, Boschi di Carrega Regional Park is one of the most beautiful natural areas in the Parma countryside.
The park offers a peaceful landscape of ancient woodlands, rolling hills, meadows and small lakes, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers, families and outdoor enthusiasts.
Visitors can explore scenic walking and cycling trails, observe local wildlife and discover historic buildings surrounded by greenery.
The park is particularly attractive in spring and autumn, when the changing colours of the forest create beautiful natural scenery.
Established in 1982, Boschi di Carrega was the first regional park created in Emilia-Romagna. Its forests were once part of the hunting estates of the Farnese and Bourbon families.
The park is home to roe deer, numerous bird species and a rich variety of plants. Visitors can explore woodland paths, picturesque lakes and the historic Casino dei Boschi, a former ducal residence surrounded by an English-style garden.
