Located in the historic centre of Traversetolo, the Renato Brozzi Museum is an important cultural destination dedicated to one of the most talented Italian sculptors and goldsmiths of the 20th century.
Housed in the beautiful Corte Civica Bruno Agresti, the museum celebrates the artistic career of Renato Brozzi (1885–1963), an artist renowned for his sculptures, engravings and refined decorative creations.
Born in Traversetolo, Renato Brozzi developed a distinctive artistic style inspired by nature, particularly the animal world. His remarkable ability to reproduce the movement and character of animals made him an important figure in Italian decorative sculpture.
The museum preserves a rich collection of bronze sculptures, plaster models, drawings, medals, engravings and goldsmithing works, offering visitors an opportunity to explore his creativity and technical skill.
One of the most fascinating aspects of the collection is Brozzi's relationship with the celebrated Italian poet Gabriele D'Annunzio. Their artistic collaboration developed into a lasting friendship, documented through correspondence and objects preserved in the museum.
Visitors can also discover preparatory studies for public monuments, portraits and decorative artworks, gaining insight into the different stages of Brozzi's creative process.
The museum is an important part of Traversetolo's cultural identity and a particularly interesting destination for visitors passionate about sculpture, craftsmanship and Italian art history.
