The CSAC (Centre for Studies and Archives of Communication) is one of Parma's most important cultural institutions, dedicated to modern art, photography, architecture, design, fashion and visual communication.
Founded in 1968 by Professor Arturo Carlo Quintavalle, it is part of the University of Parma and preserves an extraordinary collection of approximately 12 million items.
Since 2007, CSAC has been housed in the magnificent Valserena Abbey, a historic Cistercian monastery just outside Parma.
The centre combines a museum, research archive and exhibition space, offering visitors a fascinating journey through Italian creativity and visual culture from the twentieth century onwards.
With its remarkable collections and historic setting, CSAC is an essential destination for art, photography and design enthusiasts.
