A monumental work between art and history
Inaugurated in 1927, the monument is the result of the collaboration between the architect Mario Monguidi and the sculptor Alessandro Marzaroli. The bronze statue, 4.5 meters high, depicts Corridoni in a dynamic and decisive pose, with his body leaning forward and his arms open, symbolizing his sacrifice and commitment to social and patriotic ideals. The entire structure reaches 13 meters in height and is enriched with sculptural details such as eagle heads and carved faces, as well as bas-reliefs representing values such as Faith, Love and the fight for freedom.

Who was Filippo Corridoni
Born in 1887, Filippo Corridoni was a central figure of Italian revolutionary trade unionism. A staunch interventionist, he died on the Carso front in 1915. His figure was later claimed by various ideological currents, becoming a symbol for both left-wing movements and the fascist regime, which promoted his official commemoration.
